About The Position

As a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a retail location in North Smithfield, Rhode Island, you will help safeguard clients and provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond professionally to concerns, and support a welcoming environment. The scheduled shifts are Tuesday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only; this position is not identified as a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to shoppers, visitors, and store personnel by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations, following site-specific reporting procedures.
Observe conditions, report suspicious behavior or hazards, and maintain a visible presence to help deter unauthorized activity.
Assist with access control, visitor inquiries, and directions.
Communicate professionally with store personnel and law enforcement or emergency responders as needed.
