About The Position

As a Security Guard Healthcare Facility Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

  • Fluency in Spanish is required, including the ability to speak, read, and write.
  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with appropriate personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and assistance, and report security-related concerns, hazards, and/or policy violations according to site procedures.
  • Support a professional environment by interacting with patients, staff, and guests with courtesy and respect while following post orders and Allied Universal standards.
