About The Position

As a Healthcare Security Guard in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

• Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Must meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Must be willing to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with staff and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and public areas, helping to manage visitor flow, observe for unauthorized access, and support a professional environment for patients and staff.
• Assist with security-related requests such as escorting individuals, providing directions, and reporting maintenance or environmental concerns that could impact daily operations.
