About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring an armed Security Professional Flex Officer to safeguard clients across industries such as healthcare, education, and finance. Officers use a shift-pickup platform to view and claim open shifts based on their availability and may gain experience at various sites. The role may involve irregular shifts with little or no advance notice. Requirements

• Active armed guard card.
• At least three years of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience, as stated in the hiring requirements.
• Open availability.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Valid driver’s license if driving a company- or customer-owned vehicle.
• Pass a background investigation, subject to applicable law.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed work, or older if required by the state.
• Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments.
• Ability to operate radio or telephone equipment and/or console monitors.
• Ability to interact cordially and communicate with the public.
• Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write clearly and accurately.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations, identify critical issues quickly, and mediate conflict with tact and diplomacy.
• Teamwork and attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages, such as Spanish, Portuguese, French, or Arabic.
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call the police or fire department in case of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized property removal complies with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities, and maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.
