About The Position

At Deftpower, we're looking for a Security Engineer to join our team. This is a full-time position based in Arnhem. Deftpower is shaping the future of electric charging with a SaaS platform that helps businesses across Europe make charging simpler, smarter, and more sustainable. The company is growing rapidly, expanding its technology, and partnering with companies in over ten countries. The Security Engineer will join the Platform team, which is responsible for building, improving, and scaling the SaaS platform. This team works closely with Product and other engineering teams to deliver features quickly while maintaining platform security and reliability. Security is integrated into the development process, with the engineer working alongside developers to enhance systems, architecture, and integrations. The role involves coaching teams on secure by design principles, improving platform security across services, infrastructure, and integrations, implementing security controls in cloud and development workflows, identifying system risks, and translating them into concrete improvements. The position also focuses on uplifting security knowledge across the engineering department through hands-on support.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience in a security or engineering role
• Understand cloud environments and modern architectures
• Like working closely with developers and solving real problems
• Take ownership and do not wait for perfect clarity
• Communicate clearly and give direct feedback when needed
