About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and bilingual Security Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for developing and implementing robust security plans, maintaining incident response and disaster recovery strategies, and staying ahead of emerging cybersecurity threats. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience with various security tools and platforms, and the ability to protect our company's information assets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Computer Science
  • ComTIA Security Certification
  • One year related experience as Cybersecurity technician
  • Experience using tools of SQL, Git, AWS EC2, TCP/IP, Network Protocols (DNS, SSL/TLS, IPsec, SSH), MITRE ATT&CK and macOS, Linus
  • Proficiency in Japanese and English
  • Must be able to respond to emergency storm duty during weekend and non business hour

Responsibilities

  • Develop a security plan for best standards and practices for the company.
  • Continuously update the company's incident response and disaster recovery plans.
  • Research the latest in information technology security trends to keep up to date with the subject and use the latest technology to protect information.
  • Plan and implement/migrate security solutions on premises and cloud environment.
  • Perform security admin operation and setup of security policies and ACLs on devices.
  • Conduct periodical patch/firmware updates for vulnerabilities.
  • Comprehend why a piece of software does what it does to patch a bug or analyze malware.
  • Monitor the company's IT network and systems for any security breaches and investigate/respond to these threats promptly if one does occur.
  • Monitor IT systems and networks to assess risks and determine how policies can be improved.
  • Detect and quickly respond to security attacks and recommend fixing any flaws in IT systems.
  • Manage the negative effects of an attack or breach, from minimizing the impact to altering security controls for future prevention by analyzing security breaches to identify the root cause.
  • Install software that is created to protect sensitive information, such as firewalls and data encryption programs.
  • Aid in the prevention of crime through the collection, analysis, and reporting of data.
  • Create evidence in the event of a breach.
  • Understand how to check any changes in detail in IT/Security systems.
  • Anticipate potential danger in IT systems and use the ingenuity to implement new methods to protect the company's systems.
  • Conduct penetration/vulnerability testing and risk analysis to expose weak points and identify potential threats so that the company can protect itself from security attacks.
  • Verify the security of third-party vendors and collaborate to meet security requirements.
  • Make recommendations about security advancements to best protect the company's systems.
  • Advise to install a new program or learn about security procedures.
  • Help both internal and external security audits.
