About The Position

Coinbase Corporate Security is seeking a Security Engineer to build and maintain security controls that protect corporate infrastructure, user devices, enterprise applications, and network communications. The role partners closely with IT and engineering teams to identify risks and deliver tailored solutions that protect users without unnecessary friction, safeguarding sensitive data and critical assets. The engineer will secure macOS, Chromebook, and mobile endpoints; review enterprise systems and software; and integrate endpoint and SaaS security into corporate engineering initiatives. The role also focuses on identifying and closing data exfiltration paths created by local AI agents and developer tools running on corporate endpoints. The position provides technical guidance and code review support to the Corporate Security engineering team. Coinbase is remote-first, but not remote-only. Employees are expected to gather quarterly for in-person working sessions called “surges.”
