About The Position

The Security Associate, Manufacturing position is responsible for controlling access to the facility, maintaining a visible and proactive presence to deter security threats, and ensuring a safe environment for employees, visitors, and contractors. This role involves successfully accomplishing work assignments, collaborating effectively with stakeholders, and demonstrating adaptability. The associate will adhere to all company safety procedures, operate machinery safely, and report any hazards or incidents immediately. Security functions include conducting regular checks of employees, visitors, and vehicles, providing assistance during emergencies, maintaining accurate security reports, and monitoring alarm and fire systems. The role also requires conducting security inspections, monitoring inbound and outbound trailers, and creating/issuing associate and visitor badges. Work execution involves complying with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards, and completing assignments by utilizing resources, collaborating with stakeholders, identifying priorities, and communicating progress. Responsibilities

  • Controls access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining visitor logs.
  • Maintains a visible and proactive presence to deter potential security threats and provide a sense of safety to employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Successfully accomplishes work assignments and prioritizes tasks by utilizing policies and available resources.
  • Collaborates effectively with managers, coworkers, and business partners by identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations.
  • Carries out assigned tasks while communicating progress and relevant information.
  • Actively identifies and suggests ways to improve processes and address opportunities for improvement.
  • Demonstrates adaptability and a willingness to learn from change, challenges, and feedback.
  • Adheres to all company safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Uses personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Operates machinery and equipment safely.
  • Reports hazards, near misses, injuries, or accidents immediately.

  • Maintains cleanliness in work areas to prevent accidents.
  • Contributes to the continuous improvement of safety protocols.
  • Demonstrates awareness of surroundings to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Conducts regular security checks of employees, visitors, and vehicles entering or exiting the facility to prevent theft or unauthorized items.
  • Provides assistance and guidance during emergencies or security concerns, including evacuations, first aid, and directing individuals to safe areas.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed security reports, incident logs, and documentation.
  • Promotes and enforces safe work practices by monitoring and testing alarm systems, fire systems, and fire suppression equipment.
  • Conducts security inspections of buildings, grounds, and trailers.
  • Monitors inbound and outbound trailers using computer applications.
  • Reports unusual activity to appropriate management.
  • Creates and issues new and replacement associate and visitor badges.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Uses the Open Door Policy and implements related action plans when needed.
  • Completes work assignments by using policies, data, and available resources, collaborating with stakeholders, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, communicating progress and information, recommending improvements, and adapting to change and feedback.
