About The Position

This position is responsible for managing freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment. It involves identifying, counting, separating, combining, and scanning freight, as well as utilizing warehouse management systems, terminals, scales, and scanners to maintain accurate records. The role also requires maintaining organization and freight flow by keeping the work area clean and organized, stacking and moving empty pallets, and monitoring freight to ensure cold chain and species compliance. Responsibilities

  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners; identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations; carrying out tasks efficiently; communicating progress and relevant information; determining and recommending ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapting to and learning from changes, challenges, and feedback.
  • Manages freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment (e.g., single and double pallet jacks, lift pacers); identifying, counting, separating, combining, and scanning freight; utilizing warehouse management systems, terminals, scales, and scanners; and maintaining accurate records, logs, and forms.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these principles in executing business processes and practices.
  • Maintains organization and freight flow by keeping the work area clean and organized, stacking empty pallets, and moving empty pallets using pallet jacks and/or powered equipment.
  • Monitors freight to ensure cold chain compliance and species compliance.
