About The Position

This position is responsible for completing work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and available resources, collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners, identifying priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks efficiently, communicating progress and relevant information, determining and recommending improvements, and adapting to change, challenges, and feedback. The role also manages freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment, identifying, counting, separating, combining, and scanning freight, utilizing warehouse management systems, terminals, scales, and scanners, and maintaining accurate records, logs, and forms. The associate will comply with company policies and ethical standards by following procedures and standards of ethics and integrity, implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying policies in daily business processes and practices. Additionally, the associate will keep the work area organized and maintain freight flow by stacking empty pallets and moving pallets using pallet jacks and/or powered equipment. The role also monitors freight to ensure cold chain compliance and species compliance. The position requires demonstrating skills and knowledge in palletizing, machinery operation, ethical standards and conduct, cold chain management, material handling, order picking, and pallet jack operation.
