About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the manufacturing facility. Key duties include controlling access, deterring security threats, conducting security checks and inspections, monitoring facility operations, reporting suspicious activity, and assisting with emergencies. The position also involves promoting safe work practices, monitoring safety systems, and adhering to all company safety procedures. Collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement are essential aspects of this role.

Responsibilities

Controls access to the facility by verifying identification, issuing visitor badges, and maintaining accurate visitor logs.
Maintains a visible and proactive presence to deter potential security threats and provide a sense of safety and security to employees, visitors, and contractors.
Conducts regular security checks of employees, visitors, and vehicles entering or leaving the facility to prevent theft and the unauthorized movement of items.
Conducts security inspections of buildings, grounds, and trailers.
Monitors inbound and outbound trailers entering and exiting the facility using computer applications.
Reports unusual or suspicious activity to appropriate management.
Creates and issues new and replacement associate badges, as well as visitor badges.
Provides assistance and guidance to employees and visitors during emergencies or security-related concerns, including evacuations, first aid situations, and directing individuals to designated safe areas.
Maintains accurate and detailed security reports, incident logs, and documentation of security-related incidents and activities.
Promotes, monitors, and enforces safe work practices and a safe work environment.
Monitors and tests alarm systems, fire systems, and fire suppression equipment to ensure proper operation.
Adheres to all company safety procedures and guidelines.
Uses required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Operates machinery and equipment safely and in accordance with established procedures.
Immediately reports hazards, near misses, injuries, and accidents.
Actively participates in safety training and emergency drills.
Maintains clean and organized work areas to help prevent accidents and safety hazards.
Contributes to the continuous improvement of safety and security protocols.
Maintains awareness of surroundings to ensure personal safety and the safety of others.
Successfully completes work assignments and prioritizes tasks by utilizing established policies, data, and available resources.
Collaborates effectively with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners to identify priorities, deadlines, expectations, and operational needs.
Carries out assigned tasks while communicating progress and relevant information to appropriate stakeholders.
Identifies improvement opportunities and recommends effective solutions.
Demonstrates adaptability and a willingness to learn from change, challenges, and feedback.
Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, utilizing the Open Door Policy, and applying these standards when executing business processes and practices.
