About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Security Ambassador for patrol duties in Columbia, South Carolina. The role involves patrolling sensitive areas, observing surroundings for suspicious activity, controlling access to secure areas, responding to incidents and alarms, and helping protect people and property. The position requires standing and walking throughout the shift. The schedule is part time: Saturday and Sunday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., Thursday from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., and Friday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. The hourly wage is $18.36. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.

Nice To Haves

• First aid certification is an asset.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is preferred.
• Hold a state license if required.

Responsibilities

• Patrol sensitive areas to identify suspicious activity.
• Verify identities and control access to secure areas.
• Respond quickly to threats or incidents.
• Check that alarms and cameras are functioning properly.
• Document incidents and actions taken.
• Respond to alarms and conduct on-site checks.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious incidents.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
