About The Position

Principal is seeking a Securities Operations Specialist II to join its Principal Custody Solutions (PCS) team. The role performs a variety of operational tasks for complex securities or cash-related transactions and processes requiring extensive knowledge of unit functions and systems. The position is based in the Minneapolis office and offers in-office and hybrid work arrangements, with hybrid work blending at least three office days in a typical workweek. The employee will work with their leader to determine which arrangement best aligns with relevant factors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in customer service, operations, financial services, or business processing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Efficient verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Effective organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage complex securities activities.
• Differentiate, process, and reconcile transactions.
• Research inquiries and resolve customer complaints for internal partners, clients, and investment managers.
• Review time-critical and/or complex documents.
• Coordinate situations involving multiple departments.
• Provide department-level reporting using multiple sources.
• Process day-to-day income and entitlements.
• Provide training and support to team members, offer guidance, and assist with updating procedures and process improvements.
• Back up other desks and work under minimal supervision.
