The Secured Credit Analyst independently monitors collateral and approves advances on certain loans within the Commercial Banking portfolio: construction loans, revolvers secured with trading accounts (Secured Lending), and lines secured by marketable securities. The Analyst interprets loan approvals and loan documents to determine funding conditions and analyzes supporting documents—including AIA certificates, inspection reports, borrowing base reports, accounts receivable aging schedules, and brokerage statements—to assess funding availability and identify risks to the bank. The role includes reviewing appraisals and collateral information, evaluating advance requests and financial performance, coordinating advance processing with Loan Servicing, and communicating findings, availability, collateral trends, and significant issues to management and lenders. The Analyst also maintains loan and account files, investigates discrepancies, and contributes recommendations on loan structures and resolutions.
