About The Position

The Credit Risk Analyst engages with customers to obtain financial statements and converts them into written financial analyses and credit limit recommendations for management, balancing customer needs with the company’s risk appetite. The role conducts in-depth analysis of annual and personal financial statements and tax returns to renew or increase credit limits, and prepares recommendations of $250,000 or more using trade references, credit agency scores, and financial analysis as appropriate. The analyst evaluates potential risk mitigation measures, such as corporate guarantees, letters of credit, UCC filings to secure lien positions, and lower sale terms. The role also conducts annual portfolio credit risk reviews for Regional General Managers, Region Controllers, and Senior Credit management, with particular attention to high-risk accounts, customer margins, terms of sale, and days sales outstanding. The position manages daily credit holds resulting from significant past-due balances or exceeded credit limits, working with customer service, sales, and collections representatives to resolve issues and release orders. It collaborates across Order to Cash teams and with Sales and Customer Service to address accounts receivable issues and high-risk situations while supporting customer relationships. The analyst assesses delinquent accounts for payment plans, settlements, or potential non-collectability, and may recommend bad-debt reserves using credit agency scores and public information. In bankruptcy cases, the analyst prepares and submits proof of claim to the court. The role monitors bad-debt receivables managed by outside collection agencies, audits collection activity, reviews recommendations, and coordinates with internal sales and legal teams. It also demonstrates leadership through supporting teammates, improving team skills, and maintaining a dependable, positive influence. This is a salaried, full-time position based at 1740 International Drive, Memphis, Tennessee. Limited travel is required (10%). The listed pay range is $75,000–$87,000; placement within the range depends on individual experience, skills, and abilities.
