About The Position

The Credit Analyst supports commercial lending staff by analyzing financial statements, preparing commercial loan packages, and providing other assistance as needed. The role prepares materials for various commercial loan committees and supports the evaluation of commercial customers’ creditworthiness.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field.
• Minimum of 6 accounting hours.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, and MS Visio.
• Basic keyboarding and calculator skills.
• Ability to perform advanced math and carry out complex written instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds in an office setting.

Nice To Haves

• Fluency in English and Spanish is encouraged, but bilingual ability is not a requirement for this position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare commercial loan write-ups for new loan requests and renewals to assist commercial lending staff in evaluating customer creditworthiness.
• Perform credit analysis and process renewals within bank-designated guidelines.
• Analyze commercial loan customers’ financial information, including pulling credit reports and spreading financial statements and tax returns.
• Participate in internal and external credit training, mentoring, and leadership development.
• Attend and complete cross-training in various bank departments related to commercial lending.
• Handle weekly loan committee tasks.
