About The Position

This is a clerical support position that involves serving as secretary to the Deputy Commissioner of Recreation & Human Services. Supervision is not a responsibility of the incumbent. Related work is performed as required. CITY RESIDENCY WILL BE REQUIRED WITHIN ONE YEAR OF HIRE.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or Equivalent
  • Two (2) years of executive level administrative support experience

Responsibilities

  • Types correspondence using a personal computer and word processing
  • Operates a variety of office equipment
  • Formats data and creates written materials such as documents and correspondence
  • Schedules meetings and assembles material
  • Creates and maintains a variety of files
  • Gives and receives messages and information in person or by telephone
  • Manages training and travel processes
  • Assists with MUNIS reconciliation
  • May attend City Council meetings and assist with City Council processes
