About The Position

The Secretary Technician performs the duties of both a Nurse Tech and Unit Secretary as needed to support department operations. Under the direction of a Licensed Nurse and Medical Staff, this role provides safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care services. The position also assists with unit staffing, records information in medical records, and ensures unit reporting and documentation are completed professionally and on time.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• One year of experience performing Nursing/Patient Care Assistant duties in an acute care setting or skilled nursing facility.
• One year of experience performing Administrative/Unit Secretarial duties in an acute care setting or skilled nursing facility.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification.
