About The Position

Kelloggsville Public Schools is seeking a Secondary Science Teacher for the 2026-27 School Year. This is a 1.0 FTE position. The district is committed to hiring talented employees to enhance its stance and focus on equity and inclusion for all students, employees, parents, and community members.

Requirements

  • Valid Michigan Teaching Certification
  • DI or DX Endorsement
  • Knowledge of current teaching methods that includes multiple teaching strategies
  • High level of organizational skills
  • Knowledge and awareness of own cultural identity and how this influences behavior, and desire to learn about the cultural identity of others

Responsibilities

  • Teach students the knowledge and skills utilizing the district's designated curriculum and other appropriate learning activities.
  • Design, plan and implement lessons based on school, district, state, and/or national standards.
  • Establish and maintain effective classroom management for learning.
  • Create and maintain a positive and safe learning environment for all students.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with students.
  • Communicate ideas clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Relate and work effectively with parents, staff, students, and the public in a multicultural and multiracial community.
  • Establish and nurture an environment that promotes cultural competence and equitable treatment of staff, students, and patrons of the District.
  • Recognize that each person is a unique individual even as we celebrate their group cultural heritage.
  • Maintain good attendance and punctuality.
