About The Position

Traditions Mortgage, a division of ACNB, is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and math-savvy professional to join their Secondary Market team as a Lock Desk Assistant. This on-site position in York, PA, involves managing daily lock desk activities, supporting Mortgage Loan Officers, and ensuring the timely and compliant delivery of loans to investors. The role emphasizes collaboration, initiative, and a passion for finance, directly impacting loan pricing accuracy, investor relationships, and the bank’s profitability within a supportive, team-based environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in mortgage, banking, or a related financial services environment
  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills—you’re comfortable with numbers and compliance guidelines.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Clear communication and collaboration skills to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to drive opportunities for improvement.

  • having held an NMLS number is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of the mortgage lock desk—including quoting rates, publishing rate sheets, and processing lock changes or modifications.
  • Support Mortgage Loan Officers by answering pricing inquiries and post-lock questions.
  • Assist with investor delivery by processing commitments, reconciling purchase advices, and updating records.
  • Monitor compliance with regulatory and secondary market guidelines across multiple mortgage types (Conforming, FHA, GRH, VA, PHFA).
  • Contribute to reporting functions, including rate locks, loan fallout, and delivery metrics.
  • Help test and train on pricing and product engines, assist with investor certifications, and support post-closing operations.
  • Act as a change agent by identifying process improvements and supporting new initiatives within the department.
