About The Position

Operate, maintain, and perform minor repairs to combined heat and power systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation. Monitor and respond to changes in operating conditions to maintain continuous plant performance, and perform preventive maintenance duties and routines. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of combined heat and power systems, equipment, and proper operating conditions.
• Knowledge of maintenance routines and standards.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Basic knowledge of or familiarity with computer applications such as email.
• Positive attitude and willingness to collaborate and work with others to accomplish work efficiently and to high quality standards.
• Proficiency in English, including the ability to read directions and instructions written in English.

Nice To Haves

• Trade school or other post-elementary education.
• Refrigeration, electrical, and/or steam license.
• Knowledge of University and department policies, processes, and quality standards.
