About The Position

Utz is seeking a Seasoning Machine Operator for its expanded Kings Mountain, North Carolina facility. The operator works the second shift, Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, in a modern, fast-paced production environment. The role involves operating and adjusting seasoning equipment, monitoring product quality, maintaining equipment, and following food and personal safety procedures. The work area may contain allergens, and the operator must handle sensitive ingredients carefully. Requirements

Experience operating machinery and production equipment.
Experience performing equipment maintenance.
Experience using general mechanical tools such as Allen wrenches and screwdrivers.
Familiarity with food safety protocols and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Ability to monitor and inspect equipment and production carefully to meet quality standards.
Ability to handle several tasks simultaneously while remaining efficient and focused.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as part of regular duties.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to respond quickly to changes and resolve issues as they arise.
Self-motivated, with close attention to detail.
Ability to follow personal and food safety rules, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

Operate and adjust seasoning equipment to meet product specifications.
Monitor seasoning and production, inspect equipment, and troubleshoot issues to maintain product quality.
Perform preventative maintenance, assist with repairs, and help keep production running smoothly.
Handle seasoning products, including allergens, carefully and follow safety protocols.
Follow food safety, personal safety, and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Assist with production schedules and communicate with team members to support smooth operations.
Fill in for other operators when needed and assist with training new team members as required.
Clean and sanitize areas and equipment according to company standards and procedures.
Suggest improvements to processes and production efficiency.
Perform data entry using production equipment.
