About The Position

Utz is hiring a Seasoning Machine Operator for the second shift at its expanded Kings Mountain, North Carolina facility. The operator works Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM in a modern, fast-paced production environment. The role operates and adjusts seasoning equipment, monitors product quality, handles seasoning products and allergens safely, and helps maintain efficient production. It also includes equipment upkeep, cleaning and sanitation, communication with teammates, and support for other operators and new team members.

Requirements

Experience operating machinery and performing equipment maintenance.
Experience with general mechanical tools such as Allen wrenches and screwdrivers.
Familiarity with food safety protocols and lock-out/tag-out procedures.
Ability to monitor and inspect equipment and production carefully to meet quality standards.
Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously while remaining efficient and focused.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds as part of regular duties.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to respond quickly to changes and resolve issues as they arise.
Must be self-motivated and attentive to detail.
Demonstrated ability to operate production and data-entry equipment.

Responsibilities

Operate and adjust seasoning equipment to meet product specifications.
Monitor seasoning and inspect products and equipment to ensure quality; troubleshoot equipment as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and assist with repairs.
Handle seasoning products, including allergens, carefully and follow safety protocols.
Assist with production schedules and communicate with team members to support smooth operations.
Fill in for other operators when necessary and assist with training new team members as needed.
Clean and sanitize areas and equipment according to company standards and procedures.
Suggest improvements to processes and production efficiency.
Follow personal and food safety rules, policies, and procedures.
