About The Position

The City of Concord’s General Services Department, Highways Division, is hiring temporary seasonal laborers for shoveling and wing-person work from November 2026 to April 2027. Successful applicants are guaranteed 40 hours of work per week, whether or not it snows. The pay rate is $17.61 to $19.25 per hour, depending on qualifications. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is paid in two installments: $500 in mid-December 2026 and $500 in April 2027 upon completion of the winter assignment. Applications are open until the position is filled. A City application is required.

Requirements

• Experience is desired but not required.
• Must be available for the seasonal assignment from November 2026 to April 2027.
• Overtime is a requirement.
