About The Position

The Seasonal Warehouse Associate works at the HomeGoods Distribution Center in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Associates are assigned to a department and supervisor, but may work in another area as needed. The role involves handling, sorting, ticketing, packing, and unpacking merchandise and other warehouse items. The posting lists two schedules: B Shift, Friday through Sunday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM; and C Shift, Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM. Pay is $18.25 per hour, plus a shift differential of $1.80 for B Shift or $1.45 for C Shift. Additional pay may be earned based on production level. The workspace is described as clean and climate-controlled.

Responsibilities

Count, select, and sort totes, boxes, merchandise, and other assigned items.
Match receipts against purchase orders.
Ticket merchandise or other items using gum labels, a ticketing gun, or pin tickets.
Pack or unpack merchandise.
Seal boxes for shipping after packing is completed.
Manually handle totes, boxes, garments, and other items weighing up to 10 lbs. constantly, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 60 lbs. occasionally.
Work in another area when needed, in addition to the assigned department.
