About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a seasonal part-time Package Handler at its Mount Prospect, Illinois facility. The role pays $18.75 per hour and offers a $500 seasonal bonus, subject to location- and assignment-specific eligibility and payment terms. No prior warehouse experience is required; training is provided. Team members help move packages safely and efficiently through the facility. The seasonal assignment runs from October 27, 2026, to January 1, 2027. Seasonal employees may be considered for available permanent positions after the assignment, depending on eligibility and availability; continued employment is not guaranteed.

The schedule is five days on and two days off, with shifts starting at 4:00 a.m. and ending around 8:00 a.m. Typical shifts are approximately four hours, though end times may vary with package volume and business needs. Weekend or holiday work and overtime may be required when needed. Overtime pay is provided in accordance with applicable law, and premium pay applies to hours worked on New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be dependable and available for scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed.
• Meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check where permitted by law.
• Be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime when business needs require.
• Be able to repeatedly lift packages as described in the posting.
• Be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
• Be able to frequently bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and squat while handling packages.
• Be able to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Be able to work in hot or cold environments where warehouse temperature control may be limited.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload, sort, move, and load packages weighing up to 30–50 pounds independently.
• Participate in team lifts for packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Keep packages organized and moving safely and efficiently.
• Keep the work area organized and ready for work.
• Work as part of a team to help packages reach their next destination safely and on time.
