About The Position

OnTrac is hiring a Seasonal Package Handler for its warehouse in Mount Prospect, Illinois. The role pays $18.75 per hour and is eligible for overtime pay consistent with applicable law. It is a seasonal, part-time position running from October 27, 2026, to January 1, 2027. The schedule is five days on and two days off, with a shift beginning at 4:00 p.m. and ending around 8:00 p.m. Shifts typically last approximately four hours, though end times may vary based on package volume and business needs.

This active, hands-on role involves working with a team to safely unload, sort, move, and load packages, keeping packages and the work area organized, and helping packages reach their next destination safely and on time. No previous warehouse experience is required; training is provided. A seasonal bonus is offered, subject to eligibility and applicable terms. Seasonal employees may be considered for available permanent positions after the assignment ends, based on eligibility and availability; continued employment is not guaranteed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Be dependable and available for scheduled shifts, including weekends or holidays when needed.
• Meet applicable pre-employment requirements, including a background check where permitted by law.
• Be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime when business needs require.
• Be able to repeatedly lift packages as described in the posting.
• Be able to stand and/or walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.
• Be able to frequently bend, twist, reach, push, pull, and squat while handling packages.
• Be able to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Be able to work in hot or cold environments where warehouse temperature control may be limited.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload, sort, move, and load packages weighing up to 30–50 pounds independently.
• Participate in team lifts for packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Keep packages organized and moving safely and efficiently.
• Keep the work area organized and ready for action.
• Work with a team to help packages reach their next destination safely and on time.
