About The Position

Reporting to the General Manager, Tundra Grill & Concessions, the Food Services Team Lead exemplifies exceptional customer service and leads by example. The Team Lead will establish positive and motivational work relationships to ensure service quality and standards are exceeded. They will work with the Food Service Team to help prepare and serve our guests quality food & beverage items within our various venues and ensure our visitors have a wonderful experience that exceeds their expectations. Additional responsibilities include always ensuring the safe and healthy preparation of meals and sanitation techniques to avoid cross-contamination and the spoiling of food and beverages under the direction of the Tundra Grill Chef. The Team Lead will help train and mentor new employees, delegate tasks, oversee the resolution of customer complaints and concerns, and assist in daily transactions.

  • Respond in a positive and timely manner to all guest requests and complaints, ensuring they are passed onto the Tundra Grill and Concessions Manager when required or further action is required.
  • Provide support to the goodwill ambassador volunteers on site.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in the restaurant areas and concession locations (including mobile carts), including refrigerators, storerooms.
  • Ensure food products are rotated to ensure high standards of freshness.
  • Ensure refrigerators and storerooms are organized and maintained in the various areas on a daily basis.
  • Ensure all food products are stored in accordance with provincial regulations.
  • Respond in a positive and timely manner to all internal and external guest requests and complaints, while meeting Park Hospitality's standards to exceed the clients’ expectations in addition to remaining budget conscious.
  • Ensure that required forms are filled out and submitted to the required department managers.
  • Responsible for the reconciliation and submission of all daily cash out reports.
  • Fluent in the use of POS system and Cash systems.
  • Delegate duties as required to restaurant and concessions staff.
  • Ensure that the morale of your staff is maintained by practicing positive strategies to motivate staff, encourage self-esteem and efficiency.
  • Adhere and comply with all policies, safety regulations and safe work practices that will ensure a safe work environment.
  • Maintain a professional image while working and provide extraordinary experiences to our park visitors while performing daily work activities.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve quality food & beverage items at various venues including Tundra Grill, Toucan Canteen, Bison Snack Shack, Lyric Stage Canteen, Mini Donut Trailer, Hot Dog Carts and Ice Cream Carts.
  • Accurately perform all POS transactions, process sales, and reconcile cash drawers, completing necessary reports.
  • Respond to hourly sales fluctuations and act accordingly to maximize labor dollars.
  • Communicate low stock levels.
  • Ensure quality and performance standards are maintained.
  • Respond positively and in a timely manner to all guest requests and complaints, escalating to the Tundra Grill and Concessions Manager when necessary.
  • Provide support to goodwill ambassador volunteers on site.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene are maintained in restaurant areas and concession locations, including mobile carts, refrigerators, and storerooms.
  • Rotate food products to ensure high standards of freshness.
