About The Position

Empower Field is seeking Grill Cooks to be responsible for cooking various food items offered at concession stands. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy high-volume, fast-paced operations, preparing food on a grill or fryer, and working in food and beverage for major events in Denver.

Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Experience as a cook in a related field or environment
  • ServSafe or Food Safety Certification equivalent (will be trained and certified upon hire as needed)
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of up to 25lbs.
  • Exhibit and practice the highest level of guest satisfaction skills
  • Willingness to accept change and new procedures
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks, meet production/service time schedules, and adapt to necessary and unforeseen changes
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Nice To Haves

  • TEAM/ServSafe Certification (will be trained upon hire as needed)

Responsibilities

  • Cooks and prepares a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes.
  • Sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment, communicating needs quickly to ensure productivity.
  • Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items as needed.
  • Operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, and mixers.
  • Bakes, roasts, broils, steams, grills, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods.
  • Arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines.
  • Ensures compliance with food temperatures and documentation throughout events.
  • Cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils according to guidelines and policies.
  • Ensures clear and concise communication with stand leads, stand workers, and cashiers.
  • Maintains excellent, friendly, and efficient customer service and a positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, and co-workers.
  • Ensures security of company assets.
  • Accepts constructive feedback and provides ideas and concerns to and from leadership.
