About The Position

A Seasonal Plow Driver in the Transportation Division performs snow removal on County roads; some physical labor may also be required.

Requirements

• Working knowledge and ability to operate snow removal equipment.
• Ability to provide day-to-day maintenance of equipment.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Proven work experience as an equipment operator and/or truck driver; any acceptable combination of education, training and experience that provides the listed knowledge, skills and abilities may be substituted.
• Effective verbal communication skills.
• Must be in good physical condition with the ability to lift and carry 80 pounds.
• Must be able to use a variety of hand tools.
• Must be able to work under adverse conditions for extended periods of time. Such conditions will include dirt, noise, rain, snow and extremes of temperatures.
• Varied work schedules are required during certain weather conditions.
• Possession of a valid Colorado Commercial Driver’s License Class B or above without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Operate various snow removal equipment to clear snow and other weather or disaster related emergency situations.
• Responsible for proper care of assigned equipment.
• Attend safety and job training classes.
• Perform all other duties as assigned
