About The Position

Hotel Leo is hiring a Seasonal Server to provide coverage for special seasonal events and live music during the holiday season. The role is responsible for creating memorable dining experiences by engaging guests, guiding them through menu offerings, identifying upselling opportunities, and delivering attentive service. The position runs from November 16, 2026, through January 3, 2027, at Hotel Leo in downtown Bellingham, Washington.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a server in a similar restaurant environment.
• Ability to perform essential functions on a computerized Point of Sale system.
• Working knowledge of dining and beverage service procedures.
• Working knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
• Necessary state Food Handler’s License(s) and Liquor Serving Permit(s).

Responsibilities

• Take guest orders and serve food and beverages according to established standards.
• Enter orders into the computerized Point of Sale system and communicate special requests to the culinary team.
• Assemble food items such as appetizers, salads, and soups.
• Ensure food and beverages are attractively and consistently presented and served at the correct temperature.
• Maintain current knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including menu changes and sold-out items.
• Process guest payments using proper accounting and cash-handling procedures.
• Keep the work area, including the guest dining area, clean and organized.
