The North Face: Seasonal Sales Associate (Late Shift) - Birch Run
About The Position
The Seasonal Sales Associate is the face of The North Face brand, creating memorable shopping experiences through customer engagement, product knowledge, and exceptional service. Working collaboratively with the store team, the associate contributes to sales, visual merchandising, and operational excellence in a fast-paced retail environment. The role primarily supports the store during peak season and may have the potential to transition to regular employment. Associates will primarily work the 9:00 PM–1:00 AM shift, with opportunities to work daytime or standard hours as well. The position requires working throughout the store and performing physical tasks such as bending, reaching, squatting, climbing ladders, and lifting light to moderate weight, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Requirements
- 0–1 year of relevant experience.
- Ability to comfortably engage with a diverse group of customers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate as part of a team and adapt to changing business needs.
- Willingness to learn and share product and brand knowledge.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficient computer skills, including basic retail systems and applications.
- Ability to stand and move throughout the store for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, squatting, climbing ladders, and lifting light to moderate weight, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Customer service experience preferred; retail experience is a plus.
- Hands-on experience and demonstrated achievements are valued.
