About The Position

Five Below is seeking a part-time Seasonal Sales Associate to deliver outstanding customer service and support strong sales during the busy holiday season, from October through January. The role is at the heart of the store’s activity, helping customers, maintaining merchandise organization and availability, and providing smooth checkout experiences. The position is temporary and requires a flexible schedule to meet business needs.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years old.
• Be available to work a flexible schedule.
• Be comfortable with or willing to learn technology, including computers, cash registers, hand-held devices, and mobile devices.
• Communicate effectively and engage with customers.
• Handle customer interactions and potential issues or concerns courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
• Learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.
• Identify and understand email and printed instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Greet and promptly assist customers, handling multiple customer needs efficiently.
• Assess customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing customers to merchandise, offering recommendations, and engaging in suggestive selling while staying informed about product availability.
• Inform customers about store events, promotions, and special activities.
• Address customer concerns and use product knowledge to offer solutions, seeking to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate restocking and service needs, along with customer feedback, to management in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company goals and contribute to a positive, productive work environment.
• Perform additional responsibilities as determined by the Store Manager based on store needs.
