Seasonal Retail Fragrances Sales Associate, Redding Mt Shasta
About The Position
As a Seasonal Fragrance Sales Support colleague, you will help create a warm, inviting experience in the fragrance department. You will maintain a beautifully merchandised, fully stocked space while supporting the sales team behind the scenes and on the sales floor. Tasks include preparing products, restocking displays, and assisting with transactions. Your attention to detail and hospitality help ensure every guest feels cared for. The role combines customer service and operational support during the busy season. You will anticipate team needs, keep the department shop-ready, and help create positive customer experiences. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and colleague availability.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Resourcefulness and adaptability to changing priorities; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
- Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Help ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
- Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay informed about trends and promotions.
- Welcome customers and build friendly, personal conversations and relationships.
- Maintain a shoppable space by merchandising new receipts, processing damages and testers, and selecting merchandise to return to vendors.
- Update signs and pricing and support merchandise moves as needed.
- Share Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and thank them for their purchases.
- Collaborate with colleagues and support the team in serving customers and the community.
- Work toward sales goals, take pride in work, and learn from colleagues to support individual and store results.
- Assist with transactions using register and other technology.
