About The Position

Boscov’s is hiring seasonal Retail Sales Associates to join a fast-paced sales team. Associates build relationships with customers, identify and meet their needs efficiently, promote merchandise, and provide a positive customer experience. The position involves selling merchandise, maintaining the sales floor and stock, processing transactions and paperwork, and supporting store marketing goals. Previous retail sales or customer service experience is preferred. The listed starting rate is $16.10 per hour.

Requirements

Ability and desire to actively engage customers, sell merchandise, and provide excellent customer service.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with basic math skills.
Ability to learn selling skills and operate a POS register and Telxon.
Availability to work varied days and hours as required, including extended evening hours and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail sales experience and/or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Sell merchandise and provide customer service according to company standards, including greeting customers and maintaining product knowledge.
Build professional, personalized rapport with customers to promote products, close sales, and provide a strong customer experience.
Maintain the appearance of the selling floor.
Perform marketing activities, including opening new Boscov’s charge accounts, to help achieve company goals.
Complete transactions and paperwork accurately and efficiently while following company policies and procedures.
Stay aware of advertised merchandise and assist with receiving, folding, straightening, and replenishing stock.
