About The Position

Boscov’s is seeking Seasonal Retail Sales Associates to join its fast-paced sales team during the holiday season. Associates build relationships with customers, help identify and meet their needs, provide product information, promote merchandise, and deliver an efficient and positive customer experience. The role includes selling merchandise, maintaining the sales floor, supporting stock processing and replenishment, and completing transactions and related paperwork in accordance with company policies. The position is offered as full-time and part-time seasonal work.

Requirements

Ability and desire to actively engage customers, sell merchandise, and provide excellent customer service.
Prior retail sales and/or customer service experience preferred.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with basic math skills.
Ability to learn selling skills and operate a POS register and Telxon.
Availability to work varied days and hours as the schedule requires, including extended evening hours and weekends.

Prior retail sales experience and/or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Build customer confidence by providing accurate information and promoting products through successful sales.
Establish a professional yet personalized rapport with customers to close sales and provide a positive customer experience.
Sell merchandise and provide customer service according to company standards, including greeting and acknowledging customers and demonstrating product knowledge.
Maintain the appearance of the selling floor.
Perform marketing activities, such as opening new Boscov’s charge accounts, to achieve company-set goals.
Complete transactions and paperwork accurately and efficiently while following company policies and procedures.
Stay aware of advertised merchandise and assist with receiving, folding, straightening, and replenishing stock.
