About The Position

Boscov's is hiring Seasonal Retail Sales Associates to join a fast-paced sales team. Associates develop relationships with customers, identify and meet their needs efficiently, provide accurate product information, promote merchandise, and deliver a positive customer experience. This seasonal role is suited to candidates with prior sales or customer service experience and offers an opportunity to work for a department-store company known for its values, brands, and broad selection of merchandise.

Requirements

Ability and desire to actively engage customers, sell merchandise, and provide excellent customer service.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with basic math skills.
Ability to learn selling skills and operate a POS register and Telxon.
Availability to work varied days and hours as the work schedule requires, including extended evening hours and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail sales experience and/or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Sell merchandise and provide customer service in accordance with company standards, including greeting and acknowledging customers and maintaining solid product knowledge.
Build professional, personalized rapport with customers to close sales and provide a strong customer experience.
Maintain the appearance of the selling floor.
Perform marketing activities, such as opening new Boscov's charge accounts, to achieve company goals.
Complete transactions and paperwork accurately and efficiently while following company policies and procedures.
Stay aware of advertised merchandise and assist with receiving, folding, straightening, and replenishing stock.
