About The Position
Boscov's is hiring Seasonal Retail Receiving & Stock Associates to join a fast-paced stock team. Associates help ensure the timely delivery and movement of goods throughout the store while supporting a positive customer experience. The role involves working with coworkers and customers, moving merchandise to selling floors and stockrooms, keeping the receiving area orderly, and assisting with customer pickups and store events.
Requirements
- Ability and desire to actively engage customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Communicate verbally and by telephone with coworkers, management, and customers.
- Safely operate a forklift, freight elevator, compactor, skid jack, and baler.
- Work well with the public and customers.
- Be available to work varied days and hours as the schedule requires, including extended evenings and weekends.
Nice To Haves
- Previous retail stocking experience is preferred.
- Forklift certification is helpful.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate movement of merchandise throughout the store to the selling floor and/or stockroom.
- Load and unload trucks and move merchandise to and from departments manually or using forklifts, dollies, hand trucks, or carts.
- Assist with customer pickups at the guard booth or within a selling department.
- Maintain a neat and orderly receiving dock area indoors and outside the building.
- Remove hangers and empty boxes from departments.
- Deliver supplies to the sales floor to support sales teams.
- Assist with setup of special sales and events.
- Establish professional, personalized rapport with customers and provide excellent customer service.
