About The Position

Boscov’s is hiring Seasonal Retail Sales Associates to join its fast-paced sales team during the holiday season. Associates develop relationships with customers, respond to their needs efficiently, and provide accurate product information to support successful sales. The role involves delivering a strong customer experience while meeting company standards and goals. Previous retail sales or customer service experience is preferred, but the position is presented as an opportunity for candidates with either type of experience.

Requirements

Ability and desire to actively engage customers, sell merchandise, and provide excellent customer service.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proficiency with basic math skills.
Ability to learn selling skills and operate a POS register and Telxon.
Availability to work varied days and hours as the schedule requires, including extended evening hours and weekends.

Nice To Haves

Prior retail sales experience and/or customer service experience.

Responsibilities

Sell merchandise and provide customer service according to company standards, including greeting and acknowledging customers and maintaining solid product knowledge.
Build professional, personalized rapport with customers, promote products, and close sales.
Maintain the appearance of the selling floor.
Perform marketing activities, such as opening new Boscov’s charge accounts, to achieve company-set goals.
Complete transactions and paperwork accurately and efficiently while following company policies and procedures.
Stay aware of advertised merchandise and assist with receiving, folding, straightening, and replenishing stock.
