About The Position

Nordstrom Rack team members work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere and a quick, easy customer experience. The role helps keep the store clean and clutter-free and may involve working in different areas of the store to maintain sales floors and stockrooms and assist customers. Available departments include Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Depending on the department, duties include maintaining and replenishing the sales floor, assisting customers with transactions, supporting fitting rooms, organizing stockrooms, receiving and processing merchandise, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, and providing general store support. Stock Support and Fulfillment shifts may begin as early as 4 a.m. or end as late as 11 p.m., Sunday through Saturday. The role requires continuous movement and frequent physical handling of merchandise. The hourly pay range is $18.85–$19.65, with offers dependent on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position may be eligible for performance-based incentives or bonuses. Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the sales floor runway-ready by re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions; operate point-of-sale systems, bag items, and provide a friendly experience.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
Maintain a clean, clutter-free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store environment.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly in accordance with quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
