About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You will help provide a quick and easy customer experience while keeping the store clean and clutter-free. Flexibility is important, as you may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain cleanliness in the sales floors and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; applicants can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Sales and Customer Service work includes maintaining and replenishing the sales floor, assisting customers with transactions across in-store, online, and mobile platforms, supporting fitting room operations, returning clothing to the sales floor, organizing stockrooms, checking in and ticketing merchandise, using store technologies, adhering to operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards, and promoting Nordstrom Rewards. Stock Support and Fulfillment work includes receiving and processing freight, delivering merchandise to selling departments, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, using inventory management systems to process and research shipments, maintaining organized sales floors and stockrooms, and providing general store support such as setting up events, organizing backrooms, completing markdowns, and relocating fixtures. The role requires continuous movement and physical handling of merchandise. This is a seasonal position. The hourly pay range is $17.45 to $18.15, depending on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching above the head to lift them.
Ability to regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift items up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers.
Keep the store clean and clutter-free, including sales floors and stockrooms.
Maintain the sales floor by re-merchandising, straightening, sizing, and replenishing merchandise.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using a point-of-sale system; bag merchandise and handle bulky items.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Use technologies required in the store environment and follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver it to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders and prepare orders for shipment according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, completing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
