About The Position

As a Nordstrom Rack team member, you will work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, collaborating with teammates to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for customers. You will help provide a quick and easy customer experience and keep the store clean and clutter-free. Team members may occasionally work in different areas of the store to maintain clean sales floors and stockrooms and help customers find merchandise. Roles are available in Sales, Customer Service, Stock, and Fulfillment; candidates can discuss their preferred role during the interview process. Depending on the area, duties may include keeping the salesfloor organized and stocked, assisting customers with transactions and fitting rooms, organizing merchandise and stockrooms, receiving and processing freight, fulfilling and shipping customer orders, and supporting store operations. The position requires continuous movement and handling merchandise during shifts. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to handle bulky and awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting items above the head.
Ability to regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
For Stock and Fulfillment roles, ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Keep the salesfloor runway-ready by re-merchandising, sizing, filling in, and straightening merchandise throughout the day.
Assist customers with in-store, online, and mobile transactions using the point-of-sale system; bag items, including bulky or heavy items, and provide friendly service.
Support fitting room operations by greeting and assisting customers and sorting and returning clothing to the salesfloor.
Sort and return clothing to create a clean, clutter-free customer experience.
Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is checked in and accurately ticketed.
Demonstrate expertise in technologies used in the store.
Follow operational, merchandise, and asset-protection standards.
Promote programs such as Nordstrom Rewards.
Receive and unload freight, unpack merchandise, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
Fulfill customer orders promptly while following quality standards.
Prepare and ship customer orders according to quality, packing, and shipping standards.
Use inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory-control processes.
Help maintain clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
Provide general store support, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, processing markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.
