About The Position

As a Seasonal Retail Selling Colleague at Macy’s, you combine results-driven selling with genuine hospitality to create memorable holiday shopping experiences. You learn about each customer’s needs, provide personalized recommendations, and connect customers with suitable products and services. You engage customers on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, use product knowledge and smart selling behaviors to meet sales goals, and help build customer trust and loyalty. The role also involves keeping the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting. Colleagues prepare for each day by reviewing sales goals, learning about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions, and ensuring the sales floor is ready for customers. They welcome customers, build friendly personal connections, maintain merchandise presentation, process damages and vendor returns, update signs and prices, and support merchandise moves. They share Loyalty program benefits, help customers complete their shopping, and provide a courteous closing to each interaction. Colleagues support one another and work to improve individual and store results. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week; hours depend on business needs and colleague availability.
