About The Position

The Seasonal Bluemercury Beauty Expert drives sales and delivers high-quality customer service while building personalized client relationships. The role involves advocating for beauty products, helping clients meet their beauty needs, and providing an inclusive, welcoming experience. Beauty Experts share product knowledge, recommend products suited to clients’ needs and preferences, demonstrate products and application techniques, and communicate promotions and loyalty programs. They also support inventory and store presentation, participate in beauty workshops, and share customer feedback with management.

Requirements

• Proven retail experience, preferably in the beauty industry.
• One to two years of direct experience.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and knowledge-sharing skills.
• Passion for beauty and staying current with trends and products.
• Ability to work flexibly, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Self-motivation, support for operational excellence, resourcefulness, and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and respect.
• Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods; frequent computer, handheld electronic equipment, and cash register use; reaching, crouching, kneeling, and stooping; color vision; and lifting or moving items up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to work with prolonged exposure to fragrance and home fragrance products.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong, personalized relationships with customers and create a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere.
• Develop and share knowledge of beauty products across skincare, makeup, haircare, and fragrance, keeping current with products and industry trends.
• Recommend products based on client needs, preferences, and skin types; demonstrate products and share application tips.
• Drive sales by communicating product benefits and promotions, and encourage repeat business by sharing information about loyalty programs and events.
• Assist with stock management and maintain product availability and an organized, visually appealing store environment.
• Participate in and occasionally lead in-store beauty workshops.
• Collect customer feedback on products and services and share insights with the management team.
