Seasonal Retail Fragrances Sales Associate, Deerbrook Mall
About The Position
As a Seasonal Fragrance Sales Support colleague, you will help create a warm, inviting experience in the fragrance department. You will maintain a beautifully merchandised, fully stocked space while supporting the sales team behind the scenes and on the floor. Tasks include preparing products, restocking displays, and assisting with transactions. This role combines customer service and sales support, anticipating team needs and keeping the department ready for customers during the busy season. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and colleague availability.
Requirements
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Be comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Meet daily sales-goal challenges.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Be resourceful, eager to start a new venture, and adaptable to changing priorities; able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
- Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology required to perform job functions, including handheld equipment and cash registers.
Responsibilities
- Help keep the sales floor clean, organized, and ready for customers.
- Review sales goals and learn about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions.
- Welcome customers, make eye contact, and build friendly, personal relationships through conversation.
- Maintain a shoppable space by merchandising new receipts, processing damages and testers, selecting merchandise for vendor returns, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves.
- Share the Loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and thank them sincerely at the end of the transaction.
- Support teammates with honesty, care, and collaboration.
- Work toward sales goals, take pride in the work, and learn from colleagues to contribute to individual and store results.
- Assist with register transactions and use handheld equipment and other technology as needed.
