Seasonal Retail Fragrances Sales Associate, Battlefield Mall
About The Position
The Seasonal Fragrance Sales Support colleague helps create a warm, inviting experience in Macy’s fragrance department. The role supports the sales team on the floor and behind the scenes by preparing products, restocking displays, assisting with transactions, and maintaining a beautifully merchandised, fully stocked, shop-ready space. Colleagues provide friendly customer service, help customers learn about products and promotions, support sales goals, share loyalty program benefits, and contribute to an inclusive, collaborative team environment. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and colleague availability. Flexible availability is needed for various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Resourcefulness, eagerness to start a new venture, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently as well as with a team.
- Ability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
- Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds.
- Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladders, and reach, including above eye level.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Help keep the sales floor clean, organized, and prepared for customers.
- Welcome customers, create personal conversations, build customer relationships, and provide product information.
- Merchandise new receipts and maintain a fully stocked, shoppable fragrance department.
- Process damages, testers, and select merchandise for return to vendors.
- Update signs and pricing and support merchandise moves as needed.
- Assist with customer transactions and register functions.
- Share loyalty program benefits, ensure customers have what they need, and thank them for their business.
- Support sales colleagues and collaborate with teammates to serve customers and communities.
- Work toward sales goals and learn about new arrivals, top-selling items, trends, and promotions.
