Seasonal Retail Fragrances Sales Associate, Polaris
About The Position
As a Seasonal Fragrance Sales Support colleague, you help create a warm, inviting experience in the fragrance department. You maintain a beautifully merchandised, fully stocked space while supporting the sales team behind the scenes and on the floor. Tasks include preparing products, restocking displays, and assisting with transactions. The role combines customer service and operational support: anticipating team needs, keeping the space ready for customers, and helping create positive customer moments during the busy season. It calls for flexible team players who can manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Seasonal colleagues are typically scheduled for 10–20 hours per week, depending on business needs and colleague availability.
Requirements
- Flexible availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Ability to read and understand employment policies and safety rules and procedures in English.
- Comfort communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues.
- Ability to meet daily sales goal challenges.
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information.
- Resourcefulness, adaptability to changing priorities, ability to work independently, and effectiveness as part of a team.
- Ability to talk, lift, move constantly, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
- Ability to stand for at least two consecutive hours and lift at least 25 pounds; stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and reaching above eye level are also required.
- Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld equipment and cash registers, and ability to process register transactions.
Responsibilities
- Help keep the sales floor clean, organized, and ready for customers.
- Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and best-selling items, and stay informed about trends and promotions.
- Welcome customers, make eye contact, and build friendly, personal relationships through conversation.
- Maintain a shoppable fragrance department by merchandising new receipts, processing damages and testers, returning select merchandise to vendors, updating signs and pricing, and supporting merchandise moves.
- Support customers with transactions and share the benefits of the Loyalty program.
- Ensure customers have what they need, thank them sincerely, and, when appropriate, walk packages around to them and use their names.
- Collaborate with colleagues with honesty, care, and a focus on serving customers and communities.
- Work toward sales goals, take pride in the work, and learn from colleagues to contribute to individual and store results.
