About The Position

As a Retail Associate, you serve as a brand ambassador and help ensure exceptional in-store experiences through positive customer interactions. You use your problem-solving and sales abilities to answer customer questions and make product recommendations while supporting Columbia Sportswear Company’s values of customer service and teamwork. Associates help ensure product availability on the sales floor, maintain visual displays, address customer inquiries, and run an efficient checkout process, while supporting the Store Leadership team and the company’s mission of “Connecting Active People with Their Passions.” The position is located at 120 Laconia Rd Suite 120, Tilton, NH 03276, and pays $16 per hour.

Requirements

• No specific education is required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Two or fewer years of experience in a position or specialization.
• Ability to operate inventory and point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail software tools.
• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to communicate clearly with others.
• Availability to work a flexible retail schedule that may change seasonally and in response to location-specific business trends or forecasts.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions about product features, benefits, and availability and understanding customers’ needs and preferences.
• Demonstrate and explain merchandise and suggest suitable options to customers.
• Maintain store standards for visual merchandising, cleanliness, and safety.
• Retrieve merchandise from the sales floor, stock room, or other inventory locations.
• Complete cash register transactions, including sales, returns, exchanges, and loyalty program enrollment, efficiently and accurately.
• Receive, handle, replenish, and process incoming and outgoing products accurately and efficiently to contribute to store profitability.
