About The Position

The Seasonal Part-Time Associate delivers a highly satisfactory customer experience by engaging with customers and embodying the company’s customer experience principles. The role helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment; follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards; and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The position is at the TJ Maxx store at 500 North Jackson in Pharr, Texas, with a starting pay range of $13.00 to $13.50 per hour. Actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and provide correct change according to established procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain and clean the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
