About The Position

The Seasonal Part-Time Associate at TJ Maxx is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The role includes assisting with purchases and returns, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing and merchandising products, and maintaining store recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. Associates support a positive store culture, communicate and collaborate with colleagues and supervisors, and contribute to shrink-reduction efforts. Other duties may be assigned. The position is at TJ Maxx Store 0095 in Oak Lawn, Illinois. The starting pay range is USD $15.00 to $15.50 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

Deliver a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers and following established customer experience practices.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and participate in cleaning and maintaining the entire store.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
